The purpose of this qualification is to develop learners knowledge and understanding the skills required for cleaning to a standard that meets legal requirements, supports good health and safety and supports good customer service.

The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of a range of topics relating to environmental sustainability including control of global warming, reducing carbon emissions, alternative energy sources, conservation, environmental monitoring and energy management. The qualification forms part of a wide-ranging strategy of sustainability improvement. 

This qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment including voluntary work. It promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding enabling learners to be able to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on immediately.

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise and manage  a range of mental health conditions including stress and understand the impact of substance abuse.  They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The learner will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.

This 2-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification which is due to expire.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are becoming more widely available in public areas and workplaces and the survival rate for casualties suffering cardiac arrest dramatically increases if an AED is available and they are qualified to use it.

This qualification is an introduction to health and safety in the workplace and can form part of an employee's induction programme or a basis for a learner wishing to gain higher levels of training in this area.

The TQUK Level 2 Award in the Prevention and Control of Infection provides learners with the

opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the prevention and control of infections

including legislation, policies, systems and procedures relating to prevention and control of infections.

Also covered are the importance of risk assessment and of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);

the causes and transmission of infection; cleaning, good waste management practice and

decontamination.

This qualification is suitable for all persons and will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk.  The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, listen and appropriately record a disclosure, and report to the appropriate person.

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress.

Learners will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and understand how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace. Learners will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.

It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.

This course provides learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostats dressings whilst administering First Aid in a high-risk environment.

We are all exposed at times to some form of manual handling such as lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing actions that can be compounded by simultaneous movements such as climbing or pivoting. Personal injuries resulting from incorrect manual handling in the workplace accounts for over one million working days lost per year, as well as the pain and suffering experienced by the casualties. Correct manual handling techniques can make a huge difference.

This qualification is aimed at learners in a variety of work environments and will develop awareness of health and safety within an organisation.
