This qualification is for learners that are wanting to teach in Further Education and progress their knowledge of roles and responsibilities in education and training and how to meet the individual needs of learners through the teaching cycle.

Active IQ L4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF 501/0165/1)

This qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance and can lead to progression of other additional IQA qualifications.

TQUK L2 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance (RQF 603/3200/1)

This qualification develops learners knowledge and understanding of information, advice or guidance and how these are applied in their own context.  The qualification supports roles where learners may give initial information, advice or guidance to others.

FAA L3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF 601/8471/1)

This qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment including voluntary work. It promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding enabling learners to be able to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on immediately.

FAA L2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3769/2)

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise and manage  a range of mental health conditions including stress and understand the impact of substance abuse.  They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

FAA L3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF Y/615/8504)

Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The learner will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.

First Aid at Work Requalification

This 2-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification which is due to expire.

FAA L2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (RQF 600/1852/5)

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are becoming more widely available in public areas and workplaces and the survival rate for casualties suffering cardiac arrest dramatically increases if an AED is available and they are qualified to use it.

FAA L1 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace (RQF 600/8131/4)

This qualification is an introduction to health and safety in the workplace and can form part of an employee's induction programme or a basis for a learner wishing to gain higher levels of training in this area.

The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners knowledge and understanding and introduce them to the skills required for counselling to prepare for further learning or training.

FAA L1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding (RQF 603/5635/2)

This qualification is suitable for all persons and will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk.  The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, listen and appropriately record a disclosure, and report to the appropriate person.

FAA L1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3768/0)

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress.

FAA L3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3770/9)

Learners will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and understand how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace. Learners will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.

FAA L3 First Aid at Work (RQF 600/7380/9)

It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.

FAA Catastrophic Bleeding Control

This course provides learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostats dressings whilst administering First Aid in a high-risk environment.

FAA L2 Award in Manual Handling Principles and Practice (RQF 600/7624/0)

We are all exposed at times to some form of manual handling such as lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing actions that can be compounded by simultaneous movements such as climbing or pivoting. Personal injuries resulting from incorrect manual handling in the workplace accounts for over one million working days lost per year, as well as the pain and suffering experienced by the casualties. Correct manual handling techniques can make a huge difference.

18.

FAA L2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace (RQF 600/2776/9)

This qualification is aimed at learners in a variety of work environments and will develop awareness of health and safety within an organisation.
