NEURODIVERSITY AND BEHAVIOUR DEVELOPMENT
Supporting you to gain the skills required to work with Children and Young People and support challenges and behaviours that they may face in their developing years. Neurodiversity understands that everyone has different neurocognitive abilities which incorporate the areas of their lives they are good at and areas they need more support to overcome challenges and thrive in their strengths. Our courses will support your understanding of Neurodiverse conditions to enable you to understand and support others around you.
Better Bodies UK is an accredited training centre for Training Qualifications UK, Active IQ, Industry Qualifications, The Skills Network, Highfields and First Aid Awards (FAA).
All courses are delivered to Ofqual and SQA regulations and sit on the qualifications framework in England, Wales, Northern Ireland (Ofqual) and in Scotland (SQA). All candidates receive certification following completion of the courses.

TQUK L2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young Peoples Mental Health (RQF 603/3204/9)
The purpose of this qualification is to develop learner's knowledge and skills in the area of children and young peoples mental health. Successful learners will understand the factors affecting mental health and a range of common conditions experienced by children and young people.

TQUK L2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People (RQF 603/3008/9)
This qualification develops learners knowledge and understanding in order to care for children and young people. Providing learners with basic knowledge of childcare, development, play and babysitting will allow learners to make informed choices when caring for children and young people.

FAA L3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF 601/8471/1)
This qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment including voluntary work. It promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding enabling learners to be able to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on immediately.

FAA L2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3769/2)
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise and manage a range of mental health conditions including stress and understand the impact of substance abuse. They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

FAA L3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF Y/615/8504)
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The learner will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.

FAA L2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (RQF 600/1852/5)
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are becoming more widely available in public areas and workplaces and the survival rate for casualties suffering cardiac arrest dramatically increases if an AED is available and they are qualified to use it.

TQUK L2 Certificate in Understanding Distressed Behaviour in Children (RQF 610/1298/1)
The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners' knowledge of distressed behaviour in children. Learners will gain a general awareness of the causes of distressed behaviour along with an understanding of appropriate ways to support a child displaying distressed behaviour. Furthermore, learners will consider how other conditions can play a role in distressed behaviour being displayed by a child. Finally, learners will gain an understanding of how current legislation underpins approaches to providing support for a child who displays distressed behaviour.

FAA L1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding (RQF 603/5635/2)
This qualification is suitable for all persons and will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, listen and appropriately record a disclosure, and report to the appropriate person.

FAA L1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3768/0)
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress.

FAA L3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3770/9)
Learners will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and understand how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace. Learners will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.
14.
FAA L3 First Aid at Work (RQF 600/7380/9)
It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
18.
FAA L2 Award in Manual Handling Principles and Practice (RQF 600/7624/0)
We are all exposed at times to some form of manual handling such as lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing actions that can be compounded by simultaneous movements such as climbing or pivoting. Personal injuries resulting from incorrect manual handling in the workplace accounts for over one million working days lost per year, as well as the pain and suffering experienced by the casualties. Correct manual handling techniques can make a huge difference.
