MENTAL HEALTH

Supporting you to gain the skills required to understand your own and others Mental Health.  The attained skills can give you the ability to make a difference in both the workplace setting as well as having a positive affect on those around you at home.

Better Bodies UK is an accredited training centre for Active IQ, SFJ Awards, The Skills Network, Highfields and First Aid Awards (FAA).

 

All courses are delivered to Ofqual and SQA regulations and sit on the qualifications framework in England, Wales, Northern Ireland (Ofqual) and in Scotland (SQA).  All candidates receive certification following completion of the courses.

Courses for Mental Health

01.

FAA L1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3768/0)

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress.

FAA L3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3770/9)

Learners will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and understand how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace. Learners will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.

FAA L2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF 603/3769/2)

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise and manage  a range of mental health conditions including stress and understand the impact of substance abuse.  They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

04.

Highfield L3 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace for Managers (RQF 603/5166/4)

The purpose of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace and/or to give learners personal growth and engagement in learning, specifically in relation to understanding mental health in the workplace, how mental ill health may affect employees and how managers can support employees.
