Better Bodies UK is an accredited training centre for Training Qualifications UK, Active IQ, Industry Qualifications and FAA (First Aid Awards). All courses are delivered to Ofqual and SQA regulations and sit on the qualifications framework in England, Wales, Northern Ireland (Ofqual) and in Scotland (SQA). All candidates receive certification following completion of the courses.

FAA Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (Level 1 RQF)
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress.


Award in First Aid For Mental Health (Level 2 RQF)
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress and understand the impact of substance abuse. They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.
Learners will not diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by healthcare professionals but will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they
can go to get help.
Award in Supervising First Aid For Mental Health (Level 3 RQF)
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a wide range of mental health conditions and learn about the support/therapy provided by professional healthcare providers. They will know how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will recognise and manage stress and understand the impact of substance abuse.
Learners will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and understand how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 3 RQF)
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
The learner will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.
Award in First Aid at Work (Level 3 RQF)
It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.


First Aid at Work Re-qualification
This 2-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification and are due to expire.
Award in First Aid Risk Assessment (Level 2 RQF)
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and trained personnel, to ensure their employees receive immediate attention ifthey are injured or taken ill at work.

In order to safeguard and protect persons from abuse or neglect we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect.
Award in Manual Handling Principles and Practices (Level 2 RQF)
We are all exposed at times to some form of manual handling such aslifting, carrying, pulling and pushing actions that canbe compounded by simultaneous movements such as climbing or pivoting. Personal injuries resulting from incorrect manual handling in the workplace accounts for over one million working days lost per year, as well asthe pain and suffering experienced by the casualties. Correct manual handling techniques can make a huge difference.


Award in Good Nutrition (Level 2 RQF)
This 4 hour Good Nutrition course is designed for anyone who isworking or seeking a career in food preparation and/or food service. Itwill give you basic knowledge of nutrition which will help you prepare well-balanced meals and menus, the result of which will have a positive impact on health as well asan understanding of special dietary requirements.
